Review of Spetters (1980) by Tom S — 30 Jun 2008
Coming of age story in typical out-of-control Paul Verhoeven fashion. Supposedly, it was the harsh reception this movie met with that inspired Verhoeven's move Hollywood. It's not bad, but feels a bit simple and cliched, and certainly doesn't have the impact of Soldier of Orange.
