Review of Speed Racer (2008) by Dewey T — 30 Mar 2011
Like Alice in Wonderland and Sucker Punch, this film has weak scripting with strong visuals, unlike Alice in Wonderland and Sucker Punch, this film can pull off serious due to an incredibly strong cast (not including the kid and the monkey, they blow) the other moments carry a fun campy feel, and the visuals are not only creative, but hyper and psychodelic, making them fun and blood pumping when races and fight scenes are shown.
Three outta five? Yes, but I can watch it over and over again.
