Review of Speed Racer (2008) by Andrew P — 09 May 2011
You know, this movie gets ALOT of flak. It's too colorful, it's too loud, it's too incoherent. Eff that. Pay attention to the movie. It's fun, full of great lines and characters, gorgeous visual design, and captures the spirit of the Speed Racer cartoon. It's live action anime. Granted, the editing is a LITTLE weak in some spots, but honestly, it's a fun family movie that's just as exciting as when I watched it in theaters.
"It's the only thing I know how to do and I gotta do something.".
