Review of Speed Racer (2008) by Clayton R — 01 May 2012

Flashy and extravagant, but predictable and drab. The way the film uses almost entirely CG animation allows the 'anime' world to be created, but in no way believable. The story is fathomable and slow, and the crew pretend it has depth by making it even slower with overdone flashbacks.

Also with unoriginal characters which are often poorly acted; it's good eye-candy, but nothing more.
