Review of Speed Racer (2008) by David M — 24 Dec 2014
Despite the seizure-inducing colours, inconsistent special effects, and the snail's pace pacing (when not racing), I liked this film. Definitely a nice sense of nostalgia; I enjoyed the way they brought the Speed Racer franchise to the big screen, even if it was aimed at a younger audience and the subject matter followed as such.
The kind of film the entire family can gather to watch, again assuming you can manage the brain damage that will accompany the vivid colour spectrum.
