Review of Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997) by Malcolm D — 31 Dec 2009
I bought the double feature of this movie because I have seen the first Speed and loved it, but the sequel is absolute crap. There are a few cameos from previous actors in the previous film but they are given horrendous dialogue and the lines from the previous film feel tacked on.
The first Speed was a very well paced exiting ride but this one is boring on suspenseful scenes and boasts some really terrible affects. The characters are extremely stupid and cliché including the Scottish navigator on the ship.
I can accept that this movie is made purely for entertainment and shouldn?t be nitpicked but its not entertaining and its not witty, I bought the double movie set with speed 1 and Speed 2 in it for $12.
00 and as far as I?m concerned, all I paid for is Speed 1.
