A well-done elegantly simple action flick. Reeves does a good job as the very competent rugged cop, and Bullock is great as his pretty-smart-funny costar. Hopper plays the villain relatively straight, and does well.
I believe the word for the direction is "taut," but it just goes to show what a good director and cast can do with even a very slender story.
