Review of Spectre (2015) by Megan T — 30 Jul 2016
Spectre had the kind of action you'd expect from a Sam Mendes installment of 007, but lacked any sort of fun. The film had a lot of "been there done that" moments without adding anything new to keep it fresh, unlike its predecessor Skyfall.
Skyfall was a masterpiece, enjoyable and memorable enough to be a solid standalone film, while Spectre relied too heavily on a weak, predictable storyline and a disappointing villain. Overall I found the movie almost as uninteresting as Quantum of Solace and a gross under usage of Christoph Waltz's acting talents.
