As a huge fan of the D. Craig series of the franchise, I was thoroughly disappointed, with the only positive note being deciding to pay per view it instead of a theater visit on this horrible interpretation of what could've been a great movie. The opening scene started out as promising and it was pretty much a linear (skyfall) from there.

Highlight of fails:

- By now 007 is more seasoned as an agent and though noticeably slower in physique, he couldn't even carry out a medium distance hit through a window cleanly, which is basically assassination 101. Moneypenny would've done a better job and she misses shots for a living.

- All the pre release hype/PR about how Monica Bellucci was going to break the mold as an older, more mature Bond girl, gets used as a one night stand for intel anyways (and probably left to get killed after, since Felix is as trustworthy as a possum), meanwhile 007 ends up banging a French girl half his age as usual.

- Car chase, probably worst in the franchise history (I mean, the entire franchise). Should have left the Fast and Furious mindless feel to the tweener movies. Q is worried about his career yet cheaply staples bunch of Autozone switches to the dash of the Austin? Compare this with Quantum intro which is brilliant to say the least.

- Chris Waltz is a great actor but unfortunately also stiffed with poor character arc and came off dull. I get that he was more of a disgruntled step brother than an evil genius, but then again he was supposedly the head of the inner circle, someone to be feared, instead came off as menacing as a city gov employee. If he/his henchmen spent less time printing out those inkjet faces and manually gluing/taping them at an attempt to psych out 007 (which proved to be a complete waste of time), he might have succeeded in his agenda.

- The crazy amounts of intercontinental jump only works in Indianna Jones, and only if you draw a cool dotted line between vintage map to scale. Throughout the movie it's essentially "Oh they're in Morocco now. But they were just in Austria. Back to Morocco again, but maybe stop by England". It would've been more entertaining to compile a footage of Bond and his companion sitting in 30+ hours of flight in total, just sitting in their economy seats, looking straight ahead. Because the stewardess clearly said 'No. You can't get up and walk around".

There's articles floating of Craig never wanting to do another one in the series, which at first was puzzling but after watching Spectre, makes perfect sense now. Director/Writer - thanks for ruining what could have been a bang to a great Craig/Bond set, instead inking us in this semicolon of excrement.
