Review of Spectre (2015) by James C — 28 Jun 2016

Still prefer CR or Skyfall over this. Just seemed a bit lackluster to me despite a decent plot, could tell that Craig was ready to move on from the series. Waltz was good (loved the Dr. Evil scar towards the end). I kind of felt like I would of liked more from Bautista as his character seemed underplayed and not utilized fully. But plenty of action and the story line was good. In a lot of ways this felt predicable but its a good enough ending for the Craig era and as mentioned before ties up some of the other films together. Overall I guess im still pining for the good ol' days of Live and Let Die and For Your Eyes Only period where the films just seemed far more fun for me. A part of me is hoping that Elba may still be considered as Bond going forward but im excited to see who they find as a replacement regardless.
