Review of Spectre (2015) by Tobyzara — 08 Nov 2015
What is it about the last two Bond movies? I thought Skyfall was pathetic (incoherent and slow before turning into 'home alone') but at least it wasn't so gloomily lit it was like watching fish swimming in a murky pool. But Spectre ..... oh dear oh dear oh dear .... badly lit and often out of focus, with tired looking action sequences, long bits of boring dialogue, a song by a cat with it's private parts going through a mangle and a plot - even by Bond standards - so absolutely daft and full of holes I very nearly gave up and walked out. You know a film has run out of ideas when they have to crank the soundtrack to max to make sure you know which bits are meant to be exciting.
Maybe I'm just too old (over 20) for Bond now, but then I think Casino Royal a fine film (if a little bloated). Fingers crossed for the next one, but I won't be rushing to see it.
