Review of Spectre (2015) by Ben T — 21 Jan 2017
Spectre is a fun James Bond movie if nothing else, but it does have some great action and the cast is really good, with Daniel Craig continuing to be a great Bond. The story can sometimes feel all over the place, but this movie is still consistently entertaining by having many great moments.
The opening scene is jaw-dropping, and I actually like the new song by Sam Smith. But there are moments that are more story driven and dramatic, which would have been fine if the story was better. I was somewhat disappointed with the new villain, even though Christoph Waltz gave a good performance for the little time he was on screen.
This film still has many good elements to it, like the cinematography, the score, the direction and style, and when the action hits, it hits hard. This film is immensely fun and is a must see for fans of the James Bond films.
