I wish they tried something similar to the MCU. Stand alone movies, but with clear over arching plot...not something that's hobbled together at the last minute and pawned off as an over arching plot.
Then at the end of that arch (however many films that is) we should get a proper farewell to the current Bond. This would be in the same way we get to say goodbye to the different Doctors on Doctor Who with each Bond getting a unique send off from the series.
