Review of Species II (1998) by Al M — 19 Apr 2013
A thoroughly mediocre follow-up to the original, Species II rehashes many of the same plot points from the first film: a blend of police-procedural with sci-fi/horror and loads of added sex scenes. The alien sex scene in the film provides some interesting Cronenberg-style body horror, but otherwise the film is a lame sequel to a film that was already completely derivative.
