Review of Species (1995) by John G — 26 Oct 2007
Excellent film with dismal material that is guided (with seriousness) by some of the best actors around. Natasha Henstridge was excellent in her first role as the sexually aggressive alien, Ben Kinglsey is always a treat, as is Michael Madsen who I hope keeps getting better and better projects (don't want another Tom Sizemore on our hands), and of course everything Forest Whitaker does is golden.
Why oh why did it take everyone so lone to realize that he is an amazing actor. Still, a fun movie that spawned a ton of silly but entertaining sequels.
