When Ripley Scott created the classical 'Alien' film, he scared the entire film with his masterpiece.

I see this film 'Species' tried to do the same, but failed and cannot be compared to the 'Alien' film series cos it'll just show how lame and crap the 'Species' film trilogy is.

This first part of the 'Species' film trilogy decides to use sex as their main weapon in an attempt to scare the audience. But there was just too much sex, that it just doesn't work. Sure, it has it's moments, but this film sure doesn't live to standards. The story is slow placed, the dialogues are cheesy, and the acting are below average.

Natasha Henstridge's first ever performance in a motion picture is a absolute failure. All audience will remember her is taking off her cloths and having sex with men. Period. What a heck of a way to make your on-screen debut. I'm surprise she actually went with the script.

Overall, this first part of the 'Species' film trilogy fails as a horror film. The only bright point is that the visual effects is living up to standards in modern special effects. This is film, actually the whole 'Species' film trilogy, I recommend everyone to skip.
