Review of Species (1995) by Tyler W — 11 Apr 2009
Thinking this was a classic of the sci-fi genre, I've been dying to see this film for a long time. Instead, I found a low budget, somewhat cheezy B-flick, that I only mildly enjoyed. It moved at a very quick pace, which kept me entertained, but took away from any sort of backstory, which is huge with this material.
Acting was sub-par, aside from Forest Whitakers's great performance. We get some wonderful T&A from Natasha Henstridge, which is, I'm sure, why a lot of people like this film. As far as a movie in it's whole, it's alright, but could have been much better.
