While intermittently funny and benefits from decent performances by Eric Bana and Ricky Gervais, Special Correspondents is unfortunately weighed down by a formulaic plot and uneven pacing making this a mostly embarassing film for Ricky Gervais and another Netflix original film that fails to live up to its true potential.
