Review of Special (1967) by Eduardo B — 15 May 2009
Interesting to say the least. Les takes "Special" pills as part of a study and becomes convinced that he has special powers like the superheroes he idolizes in comics. Upon discovering these "powers," he quits his job as a meter reader to focus on doing good with his new found abilities.
We are then taken on an oddly humorous and mostly sad adventure with Les as his ordinary life becomes something else, perhaps special. I found this film to be very weird, but I'm not sure if it's in a good way or bad way yet.
Like I said...interesting.
