Review of Speak (2004) by Olivia B — 04 Oct 2010
This movie is alright, not a good follow-up of the book though.
This movie is based on the 1999 novel "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. The film (and novel) are about a teenage girl Melinda Sordino(Kirsten Stewart) who is an outcast her freshman year of high school, because of a deep dark secret only her and "IT" know.
This movie was alright, it had a few flaws. This movie has one of the same flaws as the Twilight saga, Kirsten Stewart, shes a horrible actress. Also this movie did not follow the book it cuts out over half of the book, this movie could have been another 35-50 minutes longer than it was, to leave out some of the confusion for people who have not read the book before.
Overall 60%, it was alright.
