Review of Spawn (1997) by Al S — 31 Jul 2008
When I first saw it I thought it was awesome. Spawn was one of the biggest things in the 90s. I remember being so pumped for this when I heard it was coming out. But now it just does not hold up/ I can't blame then for trying. I wish they would just do a brand new one today. not a sequel just a new spawn. Sorta like what they did with batman begins. When I think of a spawn movie I think of it as being an epic religious tale thats dark, violent and gritty. This was dark but not the direction I wanted it to be.
But I loved John Leguizamo so much. He did a perfect job and was my favorite part about this. If they did another one I would want him in it.
