Review of Spawn (1997) by Aurelius D — 19 Apr 2009
The first trip down the dark comic isle. This was a good interpretation of the graphic novel, the characters seemed to fit the image that was presented on paper and in the Showtime animated Series. You have a spook Al Simmons and he dies in the line of fire for his country.
He makes a deal with Malebolgia and becomes equipped with a super suit with the coolest cape there ever was. He is suppose to be on the side of hell doing the devils work and gettin ready for the big royal Heaven VS Hell action but instead he is stuck on stupid with his human side and cares more about his wife and kid than being someones bitch.
Now you got him fighting crime and being sort of the whole anti-hero. Guns and special effects and a really dark clown you'll never forget. Lock the kiddies away this one is for the adults.
