Review of Spawn (1997) by Krisspics M — 28 Dec 2009
This is a movie based off the famous Todd McFarlane comic book. I like the comics of Spawn and the animated series when it was out. But I think they could have done so much more with this film. It was very close to the comics but I found the F/X could have been better.
Not a horrible film but just needed a bigger budget to give better effects. Plus they could have made the movie longer to help the story in the film. Michael Jai White was solid as Spawn and John Leguizamo was a perfect chice for the clown.
But this movie always seemed to be missing something more to make it a good superhero film. If you were a fan of the comic then check it out. Otherwise you might want to skip.
