Review of Spartan (2004) by Marian F — 27 Nov 2011
Spartan is a masterpiece in its dialogue and script, the rest is just bleh! However, we have some good performances here, but a story that comes in and out again. The director David Mamet knows how to deliver a movie with words to its players, but eventually fails in making a good setup to fully covered the whole picture.
Anyways, still this is a terrific movie, all I can say is this is an unpredictable film with smartness and intelligence to its level. And again, the ending tells me more things that I still didn't figure out? Just watch it, and see for yourself!
