Review of Spartacus (1960) by Sarah B — 22 Oct 2008
The only Kubrick I've seen, and can only imagine seeing. The story is dealt with style, heart and grace. Tony Curtis is appealing and makes for a great partner for Douglas. Has to be one of the most stunning debuts for a director ever.
Still has the same emotional resonance it ever had. "I am Spartacus".
