I will say I liked the remake of 'Sparkle' I didn't love it. I gave the movie three stars, because Whitney got a star by herself! Can't believe she is gone. This movie would have relaunched her career! But.

.. The movie was missing some stuff for me. I'm not comparing it to the remake, because it wasn't really the same movie. What the other had this didn't was a connection to the characters. I didn't believe the relationship between Sparkle and her first love.

I didn't believe a lot of it! I was entertained by the songs, performances were good. Overall, I think everyone should go see Whitney's last movie roll. That in itself was worth it.
