Review of Spanglish (2004) by Mheldz A — 28 Oct 2009
This was an excellent film; even the frame, the "my admission essay for college" frame as reason for the movie worked.
Adam Sandler, Tea Leoni, and Paz Vega are all outstanding here: complex, human, injured, funny. The movie is uplifting but fierce, and earns it's triumphs, laughs, and intensity.
Highly recommended.
