I decided to see this movie on DVD and to tell you the truth it was a well portrayed but disappointment. The cast of the movie I had great feelings for them both positive and negative. Paz Vega was an outstanding actress as she does the character Flor, a Mexican mother searching for a life for herself as well as for her daughter.

I believe in that protection of parenting and knowing its values in which is the opposite of Tea Leoni's character, Deborah. Deborah is those high class, expected to be successful and perfect. More or less Deborah is the portrayal of the TV show The Housewives of Orange County I believe.

Her family values are through her importance. She tries to be perfect (fit, young, beautiful, center of attention, and wanting to be right) and she tries to live through that perfection through everything especially through her daughter.

Giving Cristina make overs, school scholarships, friends, etc, that her mother couldn't afford nor was a good idea to do so. When meeting Flor's daughter Cristina, to me, taking somone else's daughter and spoiling them because you wish they were you're own is unexceptable.

I knew that even through Flor. To me that is saying that rich white folks who have a screwed family can make it up through the perfection of another family. Deborah to me had selfish values and never excepted others.

Adam Sandlers character was amazing and I did accept him as a serious character and not just a comedian, he can play outside of being his comedic ways. He was the opposite of Deborah, but similar to Flor.

All of the characters knew the conflicts and the problems in the film however, none of them decided to take the opportunity to confront and give to the person what they deserved. I know that this might sound cliche, but I love a good argument and even if its just between John and Deborah or Debroah and Flor, one of these problems should be confront like it can in reality.

But I do like it when two different cultures collide and has meaning for it. Its a sense of identity and Flor didn't want to loose it from her daughter or from herself, while everyone else didn't know a damn thing about themselves or through each other.

On basic levels I enjoyed to move but on others, based on the characters, I wish for something more.
