Review of Spanglish (2004) by Esther S — 24 Apr 2009
It's because of the mis-haps and comedy-of-errors that makes "Spanglish" a fine movie title. The movie actually doesn't really have a storyline, but more of a character-developing concept that relates to common hardships in life, and the diversity in relationships/personality. Realizing this, you will find "Spangilish" strangely emotional and comedic in its own little world. Another note to add is Adam Sandler's role; those who dislike his rude and self-prideful personality will get a polite, but stern character in "Spangilsh". Overall, despite the movie's occasional careless mistakes; making the story loose, and the times they hurried something up just to keep the movie moving, you will find "Spanglish" strangely good, and that will stay with you even after it's over.
Rating: Worth Watching.
