1: This gets worse every time I see it. The casting horrendous. Sandler's performance just gets more and more grating. As much as I like Vega, she doesn't really seem at her best here, nor is she at her most beautiful.
The voiceover is mostly horrendous and incredibly sloppy. The story seems to simply pay lip service to just about all the complex issues brought forward. Nothing is truly explored. It stays on the surface of things.
This is probably why it seems better than it actually is at first. The cracks simply start to grow wider and wider with each and every subsequent viewing. Poor casting, lackluster performances, shortsighted script, and inadequate direction.
