Review of Spaceballs (1987) by Travis H — 10 Dec 2012
While being one of the best Star Wars parodies out there, Spaceballs is so loaded with comedy, they tend to forget the plot and dialogue at times. I'm not sure it they went that far into the comedy to make it satirical about the plot and dialogue, but those are the core parts of a movie, and to ruin them through comedy is a step too far.
Some of the humor is a bit dry, but only some. They make fun of every aspect of the Star Wars films is Spaceballs, and I can honestly say that I'd buy a DVD of this movie or give it away as a gift, just don't expect it to the a movie-of-the-year quality.
