Review of Spaceballs (1987) by Matt M — 29 Jul 2013
After taking on westerns and horror films quite successfully, Mel Brooks taking on the science fiction genre was only a matter of time. Spaceballs, however, doesn't hold up with such classics as Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein, as its lack of pace and formulaic structure make it seem less remarkable and taint even the more creative gags.
