Review of Spaceballs (1987) by Ken S — 14 Sep 2014
In "Spaceballs", Mel Brooks targets sci-fi films that became big in the late 70s and throughout the 80s. Obviously, the main target is "Star Wars", but the film makes fun of other hit sci-fi films from the era, and has plenty of great jokes and quotable lines of dialogue.
It may not be the best film in Brooks' filmography, it may not even hold up that well...but some of the jokes are timeless, and the film was a big comedy in my childhood.
