Review of Spaceballs (1987) by Franz H — 05 Nov 2015
Not much more than a very goofy and unfunny Mel Brooks spoof of Star Wars. And I'm a big fan of John Candy, but this was just too silly and obvious to hold any interest. It was like Mel Brooks sat down with his buddies and a lot of beer and spent an hour throwing out all of their old-time vaudeville shtick and suddenly they have a movie.
I mean come on, their version of Yoda was named "Yogurt"? Gimme a break. Not even worth watching, IMO. Though if you're a fan of silly comedies like Airplane it might interest you.
