The first 50 minutes of the film was just a giant advertisement for E3, Nike, and (the worst offender by far) Warner Brothers. Like why does there have to be a 5 minute scene explaining the DC universe, a 5 minute scene explaining Harry Potter, and a 5 minute scene explaining (in a kids movie mind you) Fury Road.
