Review of Space Is the Place (1974) by Dylan B — 04 Nov 2007
Is it possible to really love this movie? Most of it is incomprehensible; filled with meaningless sci-babble and completely absent a coherent plot. That said, somehow the nonsense in this movie manages to transcend itself.
The viewer leaves bewlildered but intrigued by Sun Ra and his Arkestra. I just don't know what to say about this movie....only Ra can tell you what he meant, but you leave feeling like you really experienced something.
