Review of Space Cowboys (2000) by Chelsea K — 04 Mar 2010
When a Soviet communications satellite that noone at NASA can understand the controls of, it about to crash into the earth, they go after the man who created it to fix it. Dr. Frank Corvin (Eastwood) agrees to go take care of his creation but he wants his old U.S. Air Force team to go with him. So he travels to get the crew of 'Tank' Sullivan (Garner), Jerry O'Neill (Sutherland), and William 'Hawk' Hawkins (Jones). The crew is in their later ages prepare to go up into space while Hawk falls in love with NASA engineer Sara Holland and the crew learns that he has cancer. They travel to space to fix the satellite which does not go as according to plan, leaving for a brave move by the piolets to ensure the safety of the people.
This movie is amazing and is another great film directed by Eastwood himself. A film for those young at heart.
