Review of Southside with You (2016) by Patricia P — 27 Aug 2016
Okay I fell asleep in the middle of this movie. I was pumped up and excited about seeing the film just to learn it was a "short" film based on a date poorly written, yet wonderfully portrayed by the two main characters.
I love POTUS/FLOTUS but this movie is not big screen and should have been free for all to see on Lifetime at least. Funny how the previews promote the movie by using Janet Jackson's song which is only heard in the opening credits.
The rest of the movie forces one to fall asleep. I knew I was headed to slumberville when they showcased the show "Good Times" as a centerpiece to the movie. I'm sorry I didn't learn anything new from watching this movie.
