This movie will be in my top ten of the year. Richard Tanne's directorial debut showcases his delicate naturalistic dialogue and his capacity to tell a entertaining story during just a single date.

Both actors here rise above imitation of their subjects and simply capture the connection between two bodies/souls. This movie is apolitical, it could have been Donald Trump and Melania and not suffer one iota from its impact.

I enjoyed the Ernie Barnes paintings, references to Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing, and the cinematography showcasing a part of Chicago not listed in travel guides.
