Review of Southpaw (2015) by Stevie G — 19 Jan 2016
More boxing film cliche's than you could shake a stick at. The plot is about as predictable as it comes but that serves as a vehicle to take us along on a ride of incredible performances. Oona Laurence absolutely nails it, especially for a 12 year old.
Boxing scenes are really thrilling and immersing even though the scorecard for the final fight doesn't really add up.
