Review of Southpaw (2015) by Penny P — 11 Oct 2017
Some things hurt harder than punches. Southpaw is a story of a boxer who loses the focus on his life when his wife dies and his daughter is taken away by the Social Services, and his journey to find himself and regain the trust of his daughter.
The film is well put together. Don't expect to see a continuous boxing match in the film. The sport serves as a background to the stronger story line of the film.
