Jake Gylly takes on the role of a boxer named Billy Hope, who is married to Rachel McAdams, has a smart daughter, and a lavish lifestyle due to his boxing success. Tragedy strikes quick and flips Hopes life upside down.
Southpaw is a classic redemption story. Gylly does a phenomenal job. The boxing is entertaining. The story has a lot of depth. I'll probably never put myself through this movie again due to emotional reasons, but it was excellent, and a must see.
