Leads me to believe Richard Kelly tuvo suerte con Donnie Darko. And even then the theatrical cut was way more enjoyable. The director's cut explained too much and Southland Tales tries to get the viewer to want an explanation. By the 45minutos mark we (yo) don't care.
And Justin Timberlake narration is no no no (x13).
