Chaotic, bizarre, and at times hypnotic, Southland Tales has the making of a true cult classic. Justin Timberlake puts in an intense performance that culminates in a kaleidoscopic dance number...there's something about time travel and split personalities...but in the end, it's all about southern California.

This is a fascinating, chaotic, sparkling wreck of a movie that lurches toward its confusing finale. Approach with patience on a day when you feel like being stimulated, rather than entertained.
