Review of Southern Comfort (1981) by Chris M — 07 Jan 2009
National Guardsmen get more than they bargain for when tangle with Cajuns in the Louisiana swamps. Some say this is an allegory for US involvement in Vietnam but it can apply to any guerilla war campaigns before or since.
Strong performances all round from a great cast and a haunting Ry Cooder soundtrack help this ooze atmosphere.
