Review of Southern Comfort (1981) by Simon W — 15 May 2009

Deliverance appears to be an inspiration for this movie, but it is superior in every way. The cast is full of great actors before they were known. Powers Boothe is a great anti-hero and Keith Carradine is very likeable as the only cool-head in the group.

This movie is very suspenseful and the landscape and the music are dripping with moodiness and enhance the atmosphere of this movie greatly. This is one of the most intense and edge of your seat movies I have seen.
