'Southbound' doesn't exactly rewrite the rules for anthology horror films, but it does have some great moments of chilling atmosphere and ghoulish dark humor. The filmmakers have a good understanding of the genre, and I'll definitely be watching to see what they do next (hopefully with bigger budgets).
