Review of Southbound (2015) by Fernando C — 26 May 2017
If you liked V/H/S (2012), well you're bound to love this one, it has the same eerie, unsafe feeling to it, and the same type of weird, creepy stories, although this one ain't found footage. While Southbound does have a few flaws, most notably ,the CGI effects, which are bad, it's an entertaining film, and while it is a gory movie, it doesn't just rely on that, but also on paranoia and suspense.
I like how the 5 tales all interlock one in an other, reminds me a bit of the great Pulp Fiction (1994). To be fair, Southbound is a creative horror effort and we could very well put it in the list of the best horror movies of 2016.
Cool film and recommended !!
