I didn't see it in 1999, I saw in around 2006 for the first time and it blew my mind, in fact the time I saw that film even felt like 1999. South Park the show is great and this movie is what a movie on a tv show should be like. Future movies based on any tv show should use this as an example. Parker and Stone did not dumb it down for anyone, they didn't change their style at all and they used their freedom from tv restraints pretty well.
The plot was creative, the jokes were hilarious, the satire on society was genious, the songs were fun and addicting, the message is pretty good and true, and I can't find much fault in. Although I still don't get why Kenny was in Hell for, maybe because he wasn't mormon.
