Review of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999) by Jeff L — 06 May 2012
It's easy to overlook South Park, especially this film, for being poorly animated and enormously vulgar... but it takes a little bit of seeing past that faecal exterior to see the statements and themes shown beneath.
For the longest time I avoided South Park, but recently I watched all of the episodes to date, along with this movie and now I understand what Parker & Stone are really about. They put up a mirror to the people that dismiss the show as junk, and show them the crap they swallow every day without judging like they do South Park.
It's actually genius. Kudos to Trey and Matt for doing something others were too meek to do.
